Do you know everything your browser is capable of? New Web APIs are added all the time. There are probably plenty of impressive things, especially for mobile devices, that you are unaware of. Watch Red Hat OpenShift’s Joel Lord discuss new API demos at the International JavaScript Conference.

JavaScript as a language changes. But learning the latest features of the latest ECMAScript implementation isn’t everything. New Web APIs are constantly added to the browser. Did you know that your browser can process audio feeds, that it can connect to Bluetooth devices, or that it can send you notifications?

Vendors are extending the capabilities of browsers more and more, especially for mobile devices. In this talk, attendees will learn some of the latest features available in their browsers right now and some that will be available in the very near future.

javascriptJoel Lord is passionate about web and technology in general. He likes to learn new things but most of all, he likes to share his discoveries. He does so by travelling to various conferences all across the globe. He graduated from college in computer programming in the last millennium. Apart for a little break to get his BSc in computational astrophysics, he was always in the industry. As a Developer Advocate at Red Hat OpenShift, he meets with developers to help them make the web a better place. During his free time, he is usually found stargazing in a camping site somewhere.
