Twitter for Android Supports Multiple Accounts

Twitter have announced a new version of Twitter for Android. This release adds push notifications, allowing users to receive Twitter updates whilst performing other activities on their phones. Users can also log into multiple accounts and switch between them, without being required to log out:

The home screen widgets have also been updated.


First Release Candidate of GlassFish 3.1.1

The first release candidate of GlassFish 3.1.1 is out now. In this release, the startup performance of 3.1.1 has been improved, along with the speed of REST module initialisation. There is also a list of bug fixes. More information on the fixes, is available at the Release Notes.

The 3.1.1 release is scheduled for release later this month.


Atlassian Launch New Agile Testing Tool

Atlassian have released a new agile testing tool, ‘Bonfire.’ Bonfire integrates with web browsers, to allow users to capture bug reports when testing web applications. With Bonfire, annotated screenshots can also be attached to bugs, and bug report templates can be created to pre-populate meta-data and repetitive content.

“Agile teams need a way to test early and often, to be able to easily submit bugs and issues as they arise, and to report on the status of the testing. That’s where Bonfire comes into play,” said Mike Cannon-Brookes, Atlassian CEO and co-founder. “Bonfire makes it easy for everyone on an agile team to test their applications.”

A free 30-day trial version of Bonfire is available now. Licenses start from $10 for ten users.


Typesafe Release Plugin for SBT 0.12

Typesafe have released sbteclipse 1.2, with added support for source attachments. sbteclipse is a plugin for SBT 0.10 that provides a command to create Eclipse project files from a SBT project. sbteclipse is an open source software licensed under the Apache 2.0 License, and it can be downloaded now from GitHub.


New Release for Team Calendars Confluence Add-On

Hot on the heels of the launch of the new Team Calendars add-on for Confluence, version 1.1 has been released. New in this release, are email notifications, the ability to watch particular People and Event calendars, and the ability to recover deleted calendars through an automatic email backup. French and German are also now supported by Team Calendars, and the text for hidden calendars is “grayed out” to make it easier to see what’s hidden, and what’s being displayed. Team Calendars is a calendar solution for collaborative teams, allowing users to schedule team leave, track team vacation and create team rosters. Users can also use the add-on to plan campaigns, communicate company-wide events, and trainings.
