New Membase Open Source NoSQL Database

NorthScale, Zynga and NHN have announced the Membase open source project.

Membase is a NoSQL database for storing web application data that is memcached-compatible. Membase components are predominantly released under an Apache 2.0 license, however, memcached remains under the BSD license.

The first public beta of the NorthScale Membase Sever is available now.
