Eclipse-Based App Wins Science and Technology Award

Chris Aniszczyk has blogged that an Eclipse-based, Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) application has won the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Impact Award.

The RAP allows developers to build rich, Ajax-enabled Web applications, and runs the tagline of “RAP brings RCP applications into the browser.” It uses the Eclipse development model, plugins with Eclipse workbench extension points and a widget toolkit with SWT API.

“It’s always nice to see Eclipse-based applications having a positive impact at a government level and winning awards while doing it,” writes Aniszczyk. “Anyways, congratulations guys!”
