Dashboard evolution reaches smartphones
Dashboards, which beam easily navigable business intelligence data to mobile screens, would make smartphones irresistible for enterprises
Analytics firm SAS has unveiled SAS Mobile, a smartphone-based interactive dashboard application that works on BlackBerry, Apple iPhone and Windows-based mobile devices.
SAS Mobile offers interactive graphs, tables, charts and alerts to users. SAS currently provides HTTP/HTTPS support for Wireless Markup Language (WML) and WAP to deliver SAS BI and analytical content to wireless devices.
For Android-phone users, who may feel left out, Webalo Mobile Dashboard offers a way to
connect to any database, report, XML Web service, or website.
Webalo also works with BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone, Palm,
Symbian, and Java smartphones. It is available as a service, either
hosted in the cloud or behind the firewall.
Smartphones are handy devices for mobile executives to access
enterprise data. Dashboards, which beam easily navigable business
intelligence data to mobile screens, would make smartphones
irresistible for enterprises.
