Big money on cloud – $222.5 billion by 2015
Cloud computing will rain $222.5 billion for solution providers over the next five years, Channel Web reports quoting a new report released by Global Industry Analysts. This is higher than available estimates and if accurate, would indicate the cloud’s growing momentum.
Spending on cloud will rise as enterprises upgrade their networks to cut cost and boost performance.
A large chunk of the revenue would go to solution providers. Amazon Web Services, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Rackspace, Salesforce.com, among others, have been identified as marquee cloud vendors.
