Two New JavaFX Tutorials
JavaFX.com have posted two new tutorials. The first, walks the developer through programming a digital clock. The second, shows how to create new shapes by using shape intersection, subtraction, and union in the JavaFX Script.
The JavaFX API Desktop Profile has ready-made classes to create common shapes. However, it is possible to create more unusual shapes (semicircles, crescents, curves etc.) by performing union, intersection, and subtraction operations on two or more shapes. The ‘Shape Intersection, Subtraction, and Union’ tutorial teaches the developers how to use constructive area geometry operations to perform Boolean operations, and comes complete with examples.
The ‘Creating a Digital Clock’ tutorial provides a walkthrough of creating a DigitalClock project within NetBeans IDE.
Both tutorials are available from JavaFX.com
