Opera 10.50 GA

After a successful beta release last month, Opera have released version 10.50 of their browser.

Opera 10.50 GA features the ‘Carakan’ redesigned JavaScript engine, and a new graphics system, Vega. It introduces a new platform for bringing Opera Widgets to the desktop, and uses compression technology with the aim of providing significant improvements in browsing speeds over limited-bandwidth connections. There is also a new platform for streaming music, displaying photo galleries, sharing files and folders and even hosting your own web pages directly from your browser, without having to upload anything to a web site. Opera 10.50 comes with new security features, including the ability to create both private tabs and private windows, and browse without leaving any trace of the web sites you have visited or other actions you have performed.

It is available to download now.
