New Tools for Editors With AnyEdit Plugin 2.3.1

Jessica Thornsby

The AnyEdit plugin for Eclipse has reached 2.3.1.

This plugin adds several new tools to the context menu of text-based Eclipse editors. It can make the whitespace in editors visible in multiple files or entire directories. It also allows trailing whitespaces to be automatically removed, and automatically creates a new line at the end of a file, if the last line was not terminated by new line.

“Open File,” “Open Type” and “Save to file…” actions are added to supported output consoles with this plugin.

This release adds a new “File->Count (Selected) Resources” action, and creates a new line on “File->Convert tabs/spaces” action, if that line is missing.

Please note that this version does not support Eclipse editions older than Eclipse 3.5.
