New Java Web Framework for RIA Apps
Version 0.9.0 of the Sight Java Web framework can now be downloaded.
Sight is built on top of J2EE technologies and provides a programming model for building RIA applications. It features an integrated StringTemplate Template Engine, and component dependency graphs.
With this release, Sight becomes compliant with AOP alliance MethodInterceptor, and Constructor and field injection has been added. An experimental, ‘fast start solution’ for GAE has also been developed. More information, is available at the Changelog.
Sight was initially created to be deployed on Google App Engine, but can also run in a J2EE servlet container, for example Tomcat.
