Plus, the first beta of InfraDNA’s Certified Hudson CI Server and MySQL 5.5.5-m3 opts for InnoDB.

MyFaces Core 2.0.1 Released

MyFaces Core 2.0.1 is out now.

MyFaces Core is a JavaServer Faces 2.0 implementation, as specified by JSR-314. This release refactors the Javascript Codebase and updates the myfaces-builder-plugin to fix JSF 2.0 doc issues. It also uses Cache renderKit, and subdivides methods of HtmlTextRendererBase, HtmlTextareaRendererBase and HtmlSecretRendererBase into extendable parts.

It can be downloaded now.

InfraDNA Release Hudson Server

A beta of InfraDNA’s Certified Hudson CI (ICHCI) Server is now available.

ICHCI will periodically branch off from a version of Hudson that InfraDNA judge to be “of particularly good quality,” meaning that the release cycle will be slower, but aims to be more stable. It also bundles a number of tested, open source plugins together and a number of commercial value-add plugins from InfraDNA. For example, this beta comes with a plugin for automating regular automated back up of configuration and build data.

A free 60 day evaluation license is currently available, with the full license available as part of the InfraDNA support subscription plans.

Spring Web Flow 2.1 Maintenance Release

The first maintenance release in the 2.1 branch of Spring Web Flow is out now.

Spring Web Flow 2.1.1 fixes the handling of cascaded attributes in AjaxTilesView and replaces the Dojo files in svn with script. The JSF 2 methods have been extracted from FlowApplication into Jsf2FlowApplication.

MySQL Switches to InnoDB

MySQL 5.5.5-m3 is now available.

This release upgrades InnoDB to version 1.1.1, and makes InnoDB the default storage engine, rather than MyISAM. Please note that existing tables are not affected by this change, only new tables that are created with MySQL 5.5.5-m3. There are also bug fixes, including a security fix which guards against a buffer-overflow attack.

Open Source Multi-Media Centre

Version 1.1.0 RC6 of MediaPortal is now available.

MediaPortal is an open source application that aims to turn your PC into a Multi-Media Center, by allowing you to listen to music and radio, watch DVD’s, and record live TV from your computer.

This is primarily a bug fix release, which addresses issues with some TS files being detected as video and radio, and a failure to generate video thumbnails.

……And a New Sonar Plugin

Sonar Twitter Plugin is a new plugin that creates a tweet, when a project is analysed by Sonar.
