MyEclipse IDE For Spring Framework Announced

Genuitec and Skyway Software have announced they are to jointly develop MyEclipse Integrated Design Environment for the Spring Framework. MyEclipse for Spring will include a Web editor, handlers for JavaServer Faces and Apache’s web application framework Struts, and Genuitec’s Unified Modeling Language tools.

Vice president of technology at Genuitec Todd Williams, defined MyEclipse for Spring’s primary function as, “often, when developers go in to build something, they have a database that pre-exists, and part of the drudgework in creating any kind of application like that is going through and writing the data access layers, and services layer, and a Web front end for it. One of the key deliverables (of MyEclipse for the Spring Framework) is the ability to take different kinds of input sources.”

Genuitec and Skyway Software are due to hold a one-hour webinar, followed by a QA session on Thursday, January 28, 2012 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM GMT. Interested parties can register now, and participants will be given the option to participate in a free early access program. The webinar will cover topics such as ‘Enhanced Spring Development Editors’ and ‘Spring MVC Scaffolding.’

MyEclipse for Spring is targeted for production release in the first quarter of 2010. Subscriptions to MyEclipse for Spring will be available for $199 annually.
