ML Conference 2017

Machine Learning is the next big thing. Are you ready? ML Conference 2017 is happening right now. If you’re not able to attend the conference, know that you can watch the opening keynote live stream here.

Bringing machine learning innovation to the world

Are you looking to enhance your business with Machine Learning? Then ML Conference is for you. It gives you a comprehensive insight into the principles of Machine Learning and introduces to the world of ML tools, programming languages and technologies. Experienced ML speakers from a solid industry background show you how to create real value from Artificial Intelligence using the latest technologies such as Tensorflow, Deep Learning toolkits, Chatbots and many more.

If you’re not able to attend the conference (don’t worry, it’ll be back next year), know that you can access the live-stream link here

If you have been following the news in the last couple of months, you will have noticed that people like Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk don’t agree on the dangers of AI. At Facebook, they bring stories of the promised land while Elon Musk’s OpenAi non-profit seems to bring a sense of impending doom. But how can these people have such wildly different opinions? And what is actually happening in the world of machine learning and AI that can lead to these opposing views?

In this talk, Dr. Pieter Buteneers of CoScale will dive deeper into where these views come from, what the most realistic scenarios are, and what the impact of machine learning and AI might be on our job market and society. Finally, he will give the audience his two cents on how to prepare for the future ahead.

Dr. Pieter Buteneers started his career in academia, first as a Ph.D. student and later as a post-doc, where he did research on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Brain Computer Interfaces and Epilepsy. He won the first prize in the biggest Deep Learning competition of 2015 together with a team machine learners from Ghent University: the National Data Science Bowl hosted on kaggle.com. In 2016, he finished his MBA at Flanders Business School and now he works as a Data Strategy and Machine Learning Consultant. He works for CoScale where, amongst others, he developed their anomaly detection system. At other companies, he trains managers and developers to build and implement new strategies to extract value from data using Machine Learning algorithms.
