IT decision makers seek application modernisation
A worldwide Forrester study of 200 IT business decision makers concludes that there is a strong demand for application modernisation at the enterprise level.
Eighty percent of IT decision makers said obsolete and overly complex technology platforms were hampering application development productivity.
Cumbersome software development life cycle processes (76 percent) and difficult to change legacy applications (73 percent) were the other factors obstructing IT efficiency.
Fifty-four percent of IT decision makers said agility was a top driver for modernization plans. Cost reduction (53 percent) and innovation (50 percent) were other contributing factors.
