Google’s New RESTful Cloud Service

Google have announced a preview of Google Storage for Developers, a new RESTful cloud service built on Google’s storage and networking infrastructure.

This services comes with support for SSL and read-after-write data consistency, and multiple authentication methods. Developers can also manage their storage from a web-based interface, and use the command-line tool and library GSUtil. All data is replicated to multiple U.S. data centres.

During this limited preview, each developer will receive up to 100GB of data storage and 300GB monthly bandwidth. Anyone interested in taking part, can sign up to the waiting list now.
