First Release of Trinidad Core 2.0.0-alpha
The Apache MyFaces community has recently released two new
component libraries; version 2.0.0 of MyFaces Trinidad Maven2 plug-ins and the first
release of the Apache MyFaces Trinidad 2 series; Trinidad Core 2.0.0-alpha.
Trinidad Core 2.0.0-alpha features support for the new Lifecycle
Management Methods and BeanValidation API, and allows the use of
JSF ProjectState API for some configuration parameters. Trinidad
Core 2.0.0-alpha is runnable on JSF 2.0, but is not yet production
ready.
Meanwhile, Trinidad Maven2 version 2.0.0 adds support for the JSF
2.0 related API/metadata and 2.0 faces-config.xml elements.Trinidad
was originally owned by Oracle, and was known as Application
Development Framework (ADF). In June 2006 Oracle Corporation
donated the ADF Faces component library to Apache Trinidad, who
renamed it following a vote.
