First Public Release Of Rails 3.0

Rails core member Jeremy Kemper has announced the first public release of Rails 3.0.

New features in Rails 3.0 Beta include a router with an emphasis on RESTful declarations; an Action Mailer API modelled after Action Controller; and Active Record chainable query language built on top of relational algebra. It also introduces explicit dependency management with Rubygems Bundler. It is currently planned for Bundler 1.0 to ship alongside Rails 3.0 final.

Rails 3.0 requires Ruby 1.8.7 or higher. It is compatible with Ruby 1.9.2. The full release notes can be accessed at the Rails Guides website.
