European CIOs more open to Cloud than Americans
Forty three percent of CIOs in Europe are planning cloud computing pilots in the next 12 months, reports ZDnet citing a Citigroup survey. CIOs in USA are more skeptical and only 36% will sample cloud in this period.
Fifty nine percent of U.S. CIOs and 65 % in Europe have security concerns on the cloud.
Ironically, more European CIOs reported security concerns, yet a higher number of them are trying pilot projects. A possible conclusion: security concerns are widespread, but not a showstopper at least for some CIOs.
While this may hold good for pilot projects, CIOs may show more caution when it comes to migrating functions that matter to the cloud. You can read the full report at ZDNet website.
