Building an open data stream for your own data in 30min using Node.js, VanillaJS and Ably

data streams

Heard of data streams? Of course! But do you know how they work or how to build a stream for your own data? Developer Advocate for Ably Realtime, Srushtika Neelakantam, discusses what data streams are, how far the data sharing economy has come, and how to build an open data stream.

In this talk, we’ll see the historical advancements in the data sharing economy that have led to a world of streaming. We’ll understand the DNA of data streams and build a publicly available open data stream for some example data (which could be your data) using Node.js and Ably DSX.
