Rails 3.0 is released, featuring commits from over 1,600 contributors!

After two years of development, Rails 3.0 is finally here!

With this release, Active Record has adopted the ARel query engine. Rails 3.0 features a revamped REST-centric syntax, a new Action Mailer, and XSS protection. Commonly requested Active Record components have been extracted into the new Active Model framework, and any direct references to Active Record have been removed. Railties has been rewritten, so Rails plugins have access to all of the integration as the built-in support for Active Record and Test::Unit.
