Philipp Krenn's DevOpsCon session

101 steps to avoid a security disaster in the cloud

JAXenter Editorial Team

Isn’t it great how easy one can scale up in the cloud? In this video, Philipp Krenn, Developer Advocate at Elastic, teaches you how to avoid a security disaster both in general and by using specific services such as AWS and GitHub.

The only problem with scaling up in the cloud is that disaster can strike just as quickly. Philipp Krenn starts his session by taking a look at some (in-) famous incidents that happened in the past. Then he dives deeper into the 101 steps to avoid a security disaster, which include considerations for operations and development. Finally, he discussed with the audience about the services and risks you might want to avoid.

PS: Due to time constraints he uses 101 as a binary and not a decimal number.
