Android accesses the Azure Cloud
Windows Azure Toolkit for Android
Microsoft is expanding the toolkit for its Windows Azure cloud
platform to Android. The toolkit is still in beta but is nearly
finished, according to the
developer team blog. Also, the version for Windows Mobile 7
receives an update.
Android developers can thus use the resources of Microsoft's cloud
services in their Android applications. The Azure Toolkit for
Android is based on Eclipse and relies on the Android software
developer kit (SDK). The Library covers the Windows Azure Storage
Application Programming Interface.
The Windows Azure Toolkit for Android can be downloaded in version
0.8 at
github. Version 1.3 of the Windows Azure Toolkit for Windows
Mobile is also available on
Codeplex since yesterday.
