EGit and JGit

What Can we Expect in 0.8.0?

Chris Aniszczyk has announced that the EGit and JGit projects are coordinating to release 0.8.0, which is expected within the next few weeks.

EGit 0.8.0 will feature a new Git Repositories view, merge support and tagging functionality. JGit will introduce Git Porcelain APIs and internationalisation support.

A release of 0.9.0 is tentatively scheduled at three to four months from now.
