Weld 1.0.1 RC2 Released

The Weld team at JBoss have announced a second release candidate for Weld 1.0.1.

Weld is the open source reference implementation of the recently-approved Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI) specification.

The first release candidate was published as artifacts to the Maven Central Repository. CR2 is the first full distribution release of Weld 1.0.1. This version introduces support for Google App Engine's scalable infrastructure and enhances the pre-existing support for Java SE. For example, there is now documented support for interceptors and decorators, and a refactoring that uses the standard BeforeShutdown event. Weld 1.0.1 also comes with the CDI TCK (Technology Compatibility Kit.)

The final release of Weld 1.0.1 is currently scheduled for February 19th. The Weld team are planning to build Weld version 1.0.2 over the next three months. See the Release Notes for more information.
