Version 0.5 of the Faye publish-subscribe messaging system for Ruby, Node.js and web browsers, is out now.

Faye is based on the Bayeux protocol, and allows users to send messages between web clients. This version introduces support for WebSockets in the browser, and is compatible with cometD servers and clients. It also introduces an extension API for layering extra functionality onto the server and client.
