Tasktop ALM Tool 1.8.1 Released

Apache OpenJPA 2.0.1 Released

Apache OpenJPA version 2.0.1 has been announced. The Apache OpenJPA Java persistence project can be used as a stand-alone POJO persistence layer, or alternatively integrated into a JavaEE compliant container or framework, for example Spring or Tomcat. This is a maintenance release, based on the final JSR 317 Java Persistence API, Version 2.0 spec. It is backwards compatible with the 1.2.x releases, and passes the JPA 2.0 TCK.

Jenkins 1.398 Fixes XSS Vulnerability

Jenkins 1.398 has been released with a list of bug fixes, including a fix for a XSS vulnerability in the project relationship page and a new extension point for exposing unprotected root action. Please see the Jenkins page for more information on all the changes.

New Geppetto IDE Tooling Project

The Geppetto IDE is a new project that aims to provide tools for simplifying the process of authoring and consuming Puppet modules and manifests. It uses a model of the Puppet DSL, alongside validators, formatters and parsers that can translate between a generated module or manifest, and its editable representation. The Geppetto IDE tooling can be used either as a stand-alone product, or installed into an existing Eclipse IDE. More information is available from the project's GitHub.

Tasktop 1.8.1 Released With New Code Review Functionality

Version 1.8.1 of the ALM Tasktop tool has been released with a new task-focused approach to code review using CodeCollaborator. Developers can now combine Eclipse Mylyn's Task List collaboration facilities with the knowledge capture functionality of the task-focused interface, during the code review process.

Swing-Based JNDI Warrior Reaches 0.2

Version 0.2 of the JNDI Warrior project has been released. JNDI warrior provides a Swing-based client app for browsing and operating on a given JNDI directory. It is built using Groovy and Griffon, and can be used for debugging and environment troubleshooting, when working with Java EE application servers. Version 0.2 can be downloaded now.
