Symbian Web Tools Platform IDE

Paul Beusterien has announced that a beta of the Symbian Web Tools IDE is now available to download.

At his blog, he reveals that this IDE is developed solely from open source Eclipse, JSDT, Chromium and Nokia components.

“We plan to collaborate with Eclipse, Symbian, and other open source communities to rapidly innovate and improve these tools to enable developers to create more and more compelling mobile web apps,” he writes.

Symbian Web Tools IDE enables developers to develop and deploy Web applications to mobile devices. This beta release supports development for the Web Runtime (WRT.)
