SonarJ 5.1 – Bridging the Gap Between Architects and Developers

jt

Hello2morrow have released version 5.1 of their SonarJ tool.

SonarJ is a software architecture management tool for systems written in Java that aims to bridge the gap between architects and developers by helping developers find deviations between the architecture and the code. It can also be used to maintain metric based software quality and can be integrated into your IDE.

Version 5.1 introduces the ability to locate duplicate code blocks to help the developer avoid problems caused by copy and paste programming, and more closely integrates SonaJ with Eclipse.

For projects with a size of up to 50’000 bytecode instructions SonarJ can be used free of charge.
