RabbitMQ 2.0.0 With Rewritten Message Store for Relieving Memory Pressure

Jessica Thornsby

RabbitMQ 2.0.0 is released with support for AMQP 0-9-1 and updated flow control mechanism.

RabbitMQ 2.0.0 is out now.

The 2.0.0 release features a rewritten message store that pages messages to disk in an effort to relieve memory pressure, and introduces support for AMQP 0-9-1. The flow control mechanism has been updated to not require cooperation from clients and reacts, and RabbitMQ 2.0.0 now permits upgrades of Erlang without breaking Rabbit servers with activated plugins. There is also a list of bug fixes.

RabbitMQ is a messaging system based on the emerging AMQP standard.
