Preview of Git Mac OS X Graphical Interface Now Available

Jessica Thornsby

A preview of Gitbox is now available.

Gitbox is a Mac OS X graphical interface for Git, which provides a view of branches, history and working directory status in a single window. With Gitbox, developers can access local and remote branches with a dropdown button. Gitbox can also fetch data from the selected remote branch and display unmerged commits in the history, when it is running in the background, meaning that the status of the working directory, and local and remote branches are always kept up to date. Gitbox differentiates between non-pushed and non-pulled commits through the use of colour.

The preview version will stop working on June 20th, and the full version will be released as an update.
