The mobile browser Opera Mini has been approved for iPhone and iPod touch on the App Store.

In a press release, Opera place the total number of Opera Mini users worldwide at the 50 million mark. The browser works by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the mobile device.

The Opera Mini App is available from the App Store.
