New Toolkit For Software Analysis In Eclipse

jt

The Diver team have announced version 0.1.0 of their toolkit for debugging, reverse engineering and software analysis in Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE.)

Diver allows you to trace Java programs; visualise a program’s runtime functionality; and filter the IDE based on what occurs at runtime. Version 0.1.0 introduces the ability to search traces to find classes, methods, activations, and notes. The platform-dependent code is now separated into various plug-in fragments, which means the developer only needs to download the binaries for their chosen platform.

Diver is a part of ongoing research at the Computer Human Interaction Software Engineering Lab(CHISEL) at the University of Victoria.
