A first release candidate of XNIO version 2.1.0 is now available to download.

XNIO is a simplified low-level input/output layer which is compatible with any environment where you are currently using Non-blocking I/O (NIO.) XNIO aims to simplify the implementation of channels, allowing NIO to support higher-level transport concepts, such as SSL. The callback-based interface is geared towards simplifying traditional state machine-based non-blocking applications.

Version 2.1.0.CR1 is available from the JBoss website, along with the XNIO source code.
