New Open Source Asynchronous HTTP Client library

Jean-Francois Arcand has announced a new Asynchronous HTTP Client library as open source. It aims to allow Java applications to execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process the HTTP responses. Support for asynchronous operations comes from a Java non blocking input/output. It comes with a JBoss Java NIO Client Server Socket Framework, but the library exposes a configurable provider Serial Peripheral Interface which allows it to be plugged into other frameworks.

The client can be added to your Maven project, but the project currently requires Sonatype snapshot repo in order to access snapshot builds.

It is available to download from github.
