New Milestone Release of Ajax-enabled Platform RAP

jt

The Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) team have announced the availability of the tool for single-sourcing applications, RAP version 1.3 M5. RAP allows developers to build Ajax-enabled Web applications with the Eclipse development model, plug-ins and Eclipse workbench extension points.

The milestone build features multi-language support for Equinox; support for Iapplications; and support for Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) BrowserFunctions, which means it is now possible to register custom Java functions for a Browser widget and call them from JavaScript. For more information, see the New & Noteworthy section at the RAP project website.

Version 1.3 M5 is compatible with Eclipse 3.5 and 3.6. The next release, 1.3 M6, is currently scheduled for release on March 19th, 2010.
