New CEO of W3C

Jeff Jaffe, an Ex-Novell CTO, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the W3C standards group.

He has made his first post at the W3C CEO blog, calling the W3C “the singular organization that leads the web to its full potential with its protocols and guidelines.” In his blog, he pledges to extend the open consensus-based process of the W3C by engaging in public discussion. A big part of this will be regular blogging.

“Feel free to contact me with your ideas, aspirations, and concerns relative to W3C,” he says.
