IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and SAP dominate the business intelligence market with two-thirds of market share, reports Information Week citing Gartner sources.

Gartner analyst Rita Sallam warns buyers against opting for single vendors as it would weaken their negotiating position in the future. Choosing single vendors may also not lead to simplicity as they may continue to need components and products from third party vendors, she adds.
