MariaDB 5.2.3 Released

New release from database server that offering drop-in replacement functionality for MySQL

MariaDB version 5.2.3 has been released. New features
include virtual columns, client, user, index and table statistics,
and a segmented MyISAM key cache, where the key cache’s global
mutex is split into several mutex. There are also new storage
engines: OQGRAPH for handling hierarchies, and a text-search engine
called ‘Sphinx.’ According to the announcement “most” of the new
features came from the community, not from the Monty Program Ab
company.
