Leonardo Sketch's Amino Becomes Project In Its Own Right

The Amino graphics library and UI toolkit, originally intended as support for Leonardo Sketch, has been separated into its own incubator project!

Amino is an open source Java library that provides a 2D/3D scenegraph with multiple backends, skinnable UI controls, and utility classes for building desktop apps. Amino uses an event bus instead of listeners on each component, in an effort to enable model and view to be better separated, and comes with a background task API for handling threading. It also features an 'AppBundler' tool for generating Mac OSX .app bundles and JNLP builds. More information is available at the Amino webpage.
