It's just over a year since JetBrains open sourced IntelliJ IDEA and now they've announced the open sourcing of another new tool. Staring with version 10, the Android development plugin will become available in the free edition of IntelliJ IDEA.

Version 10 will include new support for Android unit-testing and Android Library Projects. Using Maven in Android projects will also be possible.
