Free as a bird
JAXConf US goes free!
S&S Media, parent
company to JAXenter, has announced that their flagship US
conference, JAXConf, will be
completely free to attend.
The event, taking place 4-5 June in Santa Clara, CA, will see over
40 talks from experts within the Java/JVM space including GitHubber
Tim Berglund, Netflix’s Carl Quinn and Java evangelist Stephen
Chin.
“We believe that communities keep Java evolving. Collaboration and
open access to knowledge can only enhance that, so we decided that
JAXConf 2013 should be open to all,” explained S&S Media’s Mark
Hazell.
“We hope that by opening the doors to every keynote and technical
session at this year’s event we create the largest free gathering
of Java professionals anywhere.”
JAXConf is the most recent addition to the JAX conference series,
which includes JAX and W-JAX in Germany, as well as JAX London,
attended by thousands of Java developers across Europe.
A list of current speakers onboard for the third annual JAXConf can
be found on the conference
website, with more to follow in the coming weeks. Registration is now
open, and further details can be found on the JAXConf blog.
