Migration of the GlassFish

Java.net Domain Begins Move to Kenai Infrastructure

Jessica Thornsby

The move, announced in March, is underway.

In March, it was announced that the Java.net domain would be migrated to the Kenai infrastructure, and the existing Kenai.com projects would be moved over to the Java.net domain. GlassFish has now begun the migration process. Some GlassFish projects have already been locked down on CollabNet, with the rest scheduled to go live on the new Java.net site next week. Once the GlassFish community has been moved, attention will be turned to the remaining Java.net projects.

Please note that this is an opt-in migration. Any community leader can request that a specific project is moved, but any project not specifically requested by name, by November 20th, 2010, will be purged. Tarballs will be retained of the CollabNet contents, and these can be distributed after the site goes dark. Migration of projects will be scheduled on a first-come, first served basis in batches, and project owners will be notified as soon as a date is assigned for the project’s move.

The opt-in form is available at Java.net.
