Fast MD5 Implementation in Java

Implementation of the MD5 Hashing Algorithm Reaches 2.7.1

Jessica Thornsby

Fast MD5 Implementation in Java adds native method support for freebsd_x86 and freebsd_amd64.

Version 2.7.1 of Fast MD5 Implementation in Java is now available.

Fast MD5 Implementation in Java is an implementation of the MD5 hashing algorithm written in Java, which includes an optional native method in an attempt to increase speed. Use cases include when Java’s built-in MD5 support is a bottleneck, and projects which leverage versions of Java that do not feature MD5 support, such as J2ME MIDP/CLDC.

This release adds native method support for freebsd_x86 and freebsd_amd64, and reduces the size of the DLL for win_amd64.
