Groovy 1.8.6 out
With the majority of the Groovy brigade focusing intently on the Groovy 2.0 beta, the development team ushered in a small update for the Java-alternative language.
Groovy 1.8.6 is now available to the masses, bringing in minor features but, by in large, is mostly a maintenance release. The release fixes numerous bugs, such as an errors when using groovysh with the verbose option (-v). In terms of new features, there's a new GDK method: Object.contains() with contains as a DGM method for primitive arrays.
