Google’s Wave Contribution Makes Apache Incubator
Wave has been accepted into the Apache Incubator.
Wave has been accepted into the Apache Incubator. According to Dan Peterson, the votes were “overwhelmingly positive.” Wave was discontinued as a standalone project by Google in August, 2010. Later the company pledged to expand on the Wave code currently open sourced, by creating ‘Wave in a Box’ and now this project will form the initial contribution to the Apache Wave project. “Looking forward to growing Wave in the Apache way,” said Dan Peterson, at the announcement.
