Google To Drop Their Nexus One Webstore

Jessica Thornsby

Google announce they will offer the Nexus One through existing retailers in the future.

Google have announced they will stop selling Nexus One handsets via their web store.

“As with every innovation, some parts worked better than others. While the global adoption of the Android platform has exceeded our expectations, the web store has not,” reads the post at the official Google Blog.

The company plans to work with partners to offer the Nexus One to consumers through pre-existing retail channels. Google already offers the Nexus One through certain retailers in Europe, with Vodafone receiving the honour of being the first European partner to distribute the Nexus One in Vodafone UK stores, online, and over the phone.
