Location, Location, Location

Google Release Latitude API

Jessica Thornsby

Google have released the Google Latitude API for displaying current location, sharing current location, and creating a log of your travels. It works by allowing websites and programs to integrate with Google Latitude.

“Since launching Latitude, our team has been talking about all the cool things you could do with your continuously updated Latitude location. While we’ve built some of our ideas, there are simply too many exciting ones for us to do alone. Instead, we wanted to let developers create apps that do even more with Latitude and location,” reads the blog announcement.

In the interests of privacy, Latitude users have the option of revoking access from any developer, at any time, using their Google Account’s personal settings.
