Second Milestone for Spring Data JPA 1.0.0

The second milestone of Spring Data JPA 1.0.0 has been
released. This milestone adds support for XML based entity mapping,
alongside support for Distinct, In and NotIn keywords in query
methods, and support for Querydsl. The Hades extensions have been
ported into Spring Data Commons core. Please see the Changelog for more information.

Struts2 – Back for Google Guice 3.0!

Version 3.0 of Google’s
Guice
dependency injection framework, has been released.
Version 3.0 adds support for JSR 330, and improves the support for
OSGi. Source can now be built with Maven, and the Struts2 extension
works again, after breaking in Guice 2.0. Google have also made
extension improvements in ThrowingProviders, AssistedInject and
servlet.

Mylyn 3.5 With Hudson/Jenkins Connector

The 3.5
release
of Mylyn can be downloaded now. Filtered matches are now
highlighted in search view, and a prompt to merge or replace an
existing context is displayed when the user is copying a context
between tasks. Version 3.5 comes with a Hudson/Jenkins connector,
which displays the status of selected jobs in a Builds view:

New Milestone for Open Source SigTest-based
Project

A milestone of SigTest 2.2 has been released. This version of the
open source SigTest is based on Oracle’s SigTest signature testing
and API conformance tool, and sees the project expanding to include
additional tools. The milestone adds API Check tool functionality,
Maven wrappers and support for the upcoming JDK 8 features.

This SigTest project provides tools for comparing APIs and
measuring the test coverage of an API, and consists of a Signature
Test tool, API Coverage tool and an API Check tool.

Apache Hadoop – Innovator of the Year

The Apache
Hadoop Project
has been awarded title of “Innovator Of The Year” by MediaGuardian,
beating nominees including iPad and WikiLeaks. Judges referred to
Hadoop as a “Swiss Army knife of the 21st Century.” Congrats to
everyone involved in Apache Hadoop!

Spring Batch 2.1.7 Released

Version 2.1.7 of the Spring Batch framework is now available. This release
replaces SWS 1.5 with Spring 3.0 OXM, and adds
RemoteStepExecutionAggregator for updating step executions from the
repository during partition processing. There is also a list of bug
fixes. More information is available at the Changelog.

Update for Ruby on Android Project

A new version of the JRuby-based Ruboto project for bringing Ruby to Android,
has been released. Version 0.1.0 of ruboto-core, can be downloaded
from RubyGems now.
