First Major GlassFish Release Under Oracle

GlassFish 3.1 now available as Server Open Source Edition and Oracle-supported version.

GlassFish version 3.1 is out now. This release adds in-memory state replication and the ability to create multiple clusters per domain, and multiple instances per cluster from CLI and web-based Admin console. There is also an Admin console based on RESTful API and support for weblogic.xml.

This is the first major release of GlassFish under Oracle, and is available in two editions: GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.1 and the supported Oracle GlassFish Server 3.1, which comes with GlassFish Server Control already integrated. This commercial version also comes with a disaster recovery solution and Coherence ActiveCache for enabling integration with Oracle Coherence.
