ForgeRock has signed as a licensee of the OIN, an organisation attempting to create a collaborative system to promote the Linux system.

Open Invention Network (OIN) have announced they have signed ForgeRock as a
licensee. OIN is an intellectual property company that was formed
to promote the Linux system, through using patents to create a
collaborative ecosystem. OIN’s patents are available royalty-free
to any company, institution or individual that agrees not to assert
its patents against the Linux System.

“We are pleased to welcome ForgeRock, with its high performance
enterprise integration and identity platform built upon open source
code, into the OIN community of licensees,” said Keith Bergelt, CEO
of Open Invention Network. “By signing our license, ForgeRock
affirms that it values the continued openness of Linux. We applaud
the company’s foresight in taking this step to support both itself
and the principles of open source.”
